The HCP made a prominent showing at this year’s Society for Neuroscience meeting in Washington D.C. In addition to the many poster and oral presentations given by HCP investigators and their colleagues at the meeting, HCP team members educated attendees and demonstrated tools being developed to explore HCP-generated data at a booth on the exhibit floor.
Throughout the meeting, the HCP Outreach Team gave visitors a slideshow overview of the project and interactive demos showcasing our Connectome Informatics Software in development: Connectome Workbench and ConnectomeDB.
Nestled in “Neuroinformatics Alley” among colleagues from Neuroscience Information Framework (NIF) and the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF), the HCP booth created a splash, with over 500 visitors over the four day meeting.
We were particularly pleased at the enthusiasm of the attendees and their great interest in acquiring HCP data and analysis tools. Over 100 visitors signed up on our HCP Interest List, open to all interested in regular updates on the HCP and to be beta testers of our software tools.
